We've got most of our plans in place -- campground reservations made, Cog Railway reservations (that's to travel up Pike's Peak - YIKES). Now we just need to figure out where we will stay on the first night -- somewhere in Wisconsin we think.
Our first destination is Mt. Rushmore. It made us all excited to go when we watched National Treasure 2 -- since Mt. Rushmore is so prominently featured!
I sure hope gas prices don't get any higher than they are now -- maybe they'll go down by the time we leave (fingers crossed!)

Connie, the trip up to the Pike's Peak summit aboard the train should be fun for the kids. Thankfully, it's not straight up the mountain like the inclines in Pittsburgh so you shouldn't lose your stomach looking back down. I hope the summit isn't surrounded in clouds so you can grab some photos!
